Lecture at the Humboldt Centre for Nano- and Biophotonics

In March 2026, Bjarne Perleberg, a PhD student working at IBMI and extensively contributing to the hardware development in the SWOPT project, was invited as speaker at the HCNB Photonics Seminar at the Humboldt Centre for Nano- and Biophotonics (University of Cologne). The talk, titled “Optoacoustic Imaging – Breaking Through the Optical Diffusion Limit”  highlighted SWOPT’s innovative approach for visualizing biological structures beyond the limits of conventional optical microscopy. The presentation provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate SWOPT results, engage with leading researchers in photonics and biophotonics, and strengthen networking with academic peers.
